• Dr Mich, a Ugandan entertainer, revealed on the 'Financially Incorrect' series that he once went a full year without speaking to his partner
  • The entertainer described how the silence crept in slowly, starting with missed texts before escalating to zero verbal communication for 365 days
  • Dr Mich admitted his personal weakness is shutting down rather than confronting conflict, leading to a painful internal collapse of the relationship

Dr Mich, a Ugandan entertainer, opened up about one of the most painful periods of his life, revealing that he and his partner once went an entire year without exchanging a single spoken word.

Speaking during a candid, interview-style segment on the *Financially Incorrect* series, Dr Mich described how communication between him and his significant other collapsed so completely that the only contact they maintained was through text messages about school fees.

When Silence Replaces a Relationship

"There's a time I didn't speak to my significant other for one year, 365 days, one entire year," he said.

"No conversation, nothing at all. About school fees, we used to send messages. Talking verbally, nothing for one year," he added.

He reflected on how that level of disconnection does not happen overnight. According to him, the breakdown was a slow erosion, one missed text at a time, until the silence became the norm rather than the exception.

"When you no longer speak, when you no longer hold hands… it can be something as small as every day I expect a text and I no longer get that text," he said. "One day of a text should already signal something that there's something wrong."

Dr Mich Reflects on His Own Conflict Style

What made his experience particularly striking was his admission about how he handles conflict. Unlike partners who externalise their frustration through arguments or dramatic gestures, Dr Mich said his instinct is to withdraw.

"Certain people are extremely expressive. You have people fighting, throwing things, scratching cars, smashing things around," he said.

"Me as an individual, my weakness is I'm not extremely explosive. I'll shut down and I'll sit down and I'll do an internal reflection," he added.

He acknowledged that this tendency, while quiet on the surface, allowed the distance between him and his partner to grow unchecked until there was almost nothing left between them.

"This just goes to show you how far you can fall from grace," he said.

"And when that happens, you realise that there's almost nothing that you have in between each other," he added.

The confession, filmed against a plain backdrop with synced captions, resonated for its raw honesty about how relationships can deteriorate not through explosive fights but through prolonged, suffocating silence.
